ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is starting from 5th October 2023 in which a total of 10 teams are taking part in the tournament. A total of 48 matches will be played in the tournament. Each team will get a chance to play 9 matches. The tournament will be played at 10 different places in India.

Sri Lanka has announced its squad, the names of all its 15 players have been announced, Dasun Shanaka has been made the skipper of the ODI team for the World Cup 2023. Sri Lanka suffered a major blow before the start of the World Cup 2023 when their top class spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
